Kelly Pavlik honors his friend at a banquet in his memory. Johnny Swanson's family spoke in reflection about Johnny's life as a son and father. They also spoke about the importance of amateur boxing in his life. Kelly's trainer Jack Loew spoke about Johnny's sincerity, work ethic and passion. The event was also a fund raiser to support the boxing pursuits of other young boys and girls of the Southside Boxing Club so that they can reach and achieve as Johnny did.
