November 22, 2008. Buckcherry and Avenged Sevenfold at Chevy Centre.

Kelly and Samantha Pavlik & friends were invited back stage prior to the Buckcherry and Avenged Sevenfold Concert. They met with the bands and exchanged autographed items. During the concert Josh Todd called Kelly on stage to say hello to Youngstown. The Pavliks have been the guests of renowned bands such as Buckcherry, The Foo Fighters and Korn. November 22, 2008. BuckCherry trains with Kelly.

BuckCherry band members Stevie D. Dacanay, Josh Todd and their security chief Dan Abell joined Kelly Pavlik at SouthSide Boxing Club at 10 a.m. Todd is avid about boxing and trains daily. He's knowledgeable about the sport and admires Kelly's style in the ring. “I am a big fight fan and work out daily, so I cannot thank Kelly enough for taking the time out of his busy schedule to not only work out with us, but lend some valuable ring pointers as well. He’s a fantastic boxer with plenty of knockout power and is someone who has the skills to pay the bills,” Todd said. “More so, I love his story and what he had to do in order to get to where he is today.”

Rocky Taumoepeau has been Kelly's weight trainer since the late 1990's. Kelly joined hundreds of attendees to pay tribute to Rocky for his dedication to athletes of the Mahoning Valley and Youngstown area. The National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame honored Kelly as the Athlete of the Year. Kelly and his father Michael attended the 31st annual Induction and Awards Gala in Chicago Illinois.
